Things Belonging to me ! ! 🐚

Talofa lava, everybody!🐚 Ou te faamoemoe o loo manuia outou uma, ioe?

As in: I hope you all are doing well, yes? Soooo- today or as in this week, Room 1 Literacy have been starting to learn about Poetry again – meant for a certain thing coming up…

Anyway, there IS another part to this blog post, but I still have to find an image.. I’ll tell you all how that goes. So this task is obviously a small start to writing poetry, and we here had to write about one thing that belongs to us, or is simply ours! In here, I wrote about my LOVELY best friend Kalylah – writing about three stanzas about her with each one getting progressively a bit more detailed as you can perhaps see when you scroll on the little box placed above me. It personally was a bit easy for me to write, since we had an example from Mr. Moran and since I knew a lot about her. ( SO BRAINY IKR GUYS??? 😼 👅 )

Anyway, I’ll post the second part of this task when I can. Hope you all enjoyed this and of course have an AMAZINGGG day as always! GOODBYE MY TEAAA FRIENDS😻)

Hello everybody, as usual ! ! 🌟

 

Of course, this is Mikyrah giving you all a little spoiler of a later blog post I’m gonna make. (maybe…😼)

So anyways, this last Term Room 3 has been going over to Room 5 and learning about Jamaican and Reggae music known around the world! Reggae is a very known and beautiful type of music in Jamaica, a kind that most people definitely listen to. So for one of our create tasks in this Inquiry is getting in pairs of Three or Two and creating our own Album cover, and then the second one with our own songs being made. But since I didn’t finish that, since we had to do 2 verses- oh yeah, if we were with 2 or 3 people: we literally had to make 2 or 3 verses of our own . . . so I was with Kalylah, and we had to make our 2 verses together. But I won’t get into that now, so I’ll just show y’all the cover!

 

Yeahh . . . we just finished this on the first day, so it wasn’t that hard!

As y’all already know, this is Mikyrah! MB since this post is a bit delayed heh… but Room 3 have been learning about music from Latin America, as my title for this might have been a small spoiler. This is clearly about a specific beat, also known as the Dembow beat. It’s a beat founded in a few familiar songs that most of us know, maybe specifically in Latin music . . . ? Not sure, but hope y’all enjoyed this !

｡.🎉 Kiki’s first time out ! ! 🥳.｡

Soo, mb to post this so late, but you MIGHT have just gotten a spoiler from that Adobe animation I did . . . ? Yeah, not much to say but this is the story of Kiki’s first time out said in 6 sentences (I did way more than that😼) so enjoy it pls ! ! !><

 

Once upon a time, there was an elegant and happy Gorilla named Kiki who stayed in a local Zoo named “Preppy home of Gorillaz” (reference added:3)

 

She wore a pink tutu and silver tiara adorned with rhinestones, it almost looked like her own eyes too.

So one day, she was just minding her own business and playing with her fellow Gorilla friends and family on her birthday.

 

  Suddenly, the workers suddenly came up to her saying, “Happy birthday, Kiki!” while holding a pink cake that was DEFINITELY safe for animals like her to eat. “We have this, and another surprise for you today.”

 

Now Kiki was slightly in shock by this, while she slowly crawled towards the workers with her eyes lighting up from both that same shock and a mix of joy. “What is this, and where am I going today?” She asks  in curiosity, her head tilting to the side in confusion.

 

One worker chuckles, an excited look formed onto her face. “Well Kiki, just come along with us! Oh, and of course bring your friends if you want. You can have your cake in the van, too!” She spoke, and now Kiki went along with both workers to the animal van. “ Am I . . . going out for the first time on the street?! “    Kiki spoke in realization, while the workers nodded happily to her. 

 

“Mhm, you got it!” One worker said while they then went into the van and drove off to the city. In the end, Kiki had an amazing Birthday party in the street ! ! 

 

Omds that felt so cringe . . . anyways, hope y’all liked it again. Have a good day as always ! ! ! <333

｡.✿ Japanese Music ! ! ✿.｡

This is Mikyrah, of course – here to show you what Room 3 have been learning so far about music this term! Sooo, you may have heard but I don’t really care- that we have been learning about Japanese music this week. Specifically, we have also been learning how to use pianos to make our Japanese music also known as the “Yo scale” and “In scale”. I’ll describe it for ya: The Yo scale is described to be more bright and lively! Unlike the In scale, which can be more dark and gloomy, sometimes decsribed as “ethereal or sad beauty” in songs. So anyways, we just had to choose which one to use and make a little melody or tune out of it! Me personally, I chose the Yo scale since I already had  a melody to play in my mind and that one just suited it SO much ! ! !

This week, Room 1 Literacy have been doing 6 sentence stories about different things, and we have to write from three pictures and also three random words given to us. Today, this one had a Gorilla, a pink tutu, and a  picture of the city – so I wrote a story about that said Gorilla going out to the city for the first time ever since it was her birthday. So lowkey, that’s all I had to say- oh yeah! We also had to use Adobe Express for animations to our voice recordings on the stories. Speech Reflections ! ! ♬

Today, Room 1 Literacy were just- finishing off our speeches an doing this task for people who already have, like me! This task is about reflecting on our speeches, as you can probably see- It asks you about either how you have felt before, during, or after your speech- or how you think you did yourself. Personally for me, it was pretty scary at first, but at the end I felt both relieved and proud of myself for managing to do it- even if my friends kept saying “67” at the start which of course made me laugh, AND even if I kept stuttering during it, I believe that I did well.

Anywayzz- I hope that y’all enjoyed this, and I hope that my writing was clear.

Immersion Assembly: Highlight!

Talofa lava, everyone ! ! Today, I’m just- posting, yeah. Anywaysss- So um, today I’m posting about our Immersion Assembly and some highlights from it ! Which: by the way, went amazing thank you for asking><.  Ahem- again, so . . . My bad to disappoint, but today I’m just writing about our Team! (TM 5). So, for our performance there was Mr. Wiseman, Whaea Saf, Ms Tele’a and just all of the Team 5 teachers- just performing a song from KESHA COLE. Anyways, our song was inspired by “Love” by Kesha Cole, I’m pretty sure, but just about the planets and the Sun, which is technically just brainrot for our poor class now. So, that’s it from me for now! But uhh, my favourite Team performance overall was Team 3, who did a rap about the Earth, Sun, and Moon!
