🐊 ★ Talofa, tagata uma! !🐊 ★

Today, or as in this week, Room 1 Literacy have been reading an amazing text named Wildboys, as you may be able to see in the box above this… anyway, this book is about a boy named Brando hiking or walking from the Top of Aotearoa to the very bottom, and he has been inspired by this movie said in the text ” Into the Wild ” about the adventures of this young American boy named Christopher McCandless. Not sure where he DOES travel in the movie, but it does sound very brave and inspiring! We also had to answer some comprehension questions about the text after reading, and then finding some said words, getting the definition, and using it in a known sentence.

This was a little bit hard for me at the start, since it was confusing – but I DID get it at the end and finish it to show you all right now. Hope you all liked this text and task, and to have an AMAZING DAY as always!

This is Mikyrah, as y’all already know- and this Week, Room 1 Literacy have been reading about this book called “The Winning Side” as you can definitely see in my title for this post. So, not much to explain- this book or text is about a girl named Nia joining her school’s election about a Bush block, saying if the school should keep it or get rid of it for more sports area, as most students in it has voted for. Task description: this week we read a story called Sunday Hero. It was about Oma and her relationship with her granddaughter and sharing memories from the past. For this task we had to answer questions and then create a GIF showing a part of the book that made us infer the meaning of the emotion or action.
